LOVE it

I want November to be my experience month.

I saw some DIY projects online that reallly interests me.... so let's see where that takes me.

alot has happened in Oct, I feel.

Justin and I have gone to the bay 3 times in Oct already (out of the 4 wknds so far)

we have gone to 3 weddings- talk about a dent in our savings ;) a good dent

sold two of our cars on craigslist

yay to paying less auto insurance

organized all of the paperwork in the house and created a new filing system (I can't believe before this paperwork just floated around)

Justin surprised me with a 1 year 1 month anniversary

Bible study group at work has become official Employee Resource Group of Medtronic!

this past weekend Justin and I brought our first car together...

a 2010 Prius!

with Solar roof and navi :D

super happy with the purchase, love the car and the MPG! ;)

Then at work we got our carpool/rideshare spot reserved just for us....

no more looking for parking spots at work...

no more parking in super back of the lot because we came in late

back from NY

Justin and i are back from NY :D

Happy 1 year anniversary, Justin :)

I could have stayed there alittle longer, but it was a great trip.

some highlights were: (pics to come)

- Museum of Natural History

- Getting drawn for Lottery tickets for Wicked = front row seats for 25 dollars per person

- Spending time with Perry and Amanda

- Food carts

- Statue of Liberty

- Visiting New Jersey and spending time with my aunt and uncle

etc etc

Now is time to recover :)

New York planning

Tonight we leave for NY.

I am excited because:

I get to travel to NY with the husband for the first time together (i think both of us have been there with family)

I get to bring my dad's camera and hopefully go alittle camera happy to record lots of good memories

I will see my aunt and uncle, who we both have not seen since the wedding

I will eat lots and lots of food

I will walk everywhere

but I will not need to carry most of the stuff

I can walk everywhere

There's great transit, maybe it will remind us of London

We will visit Perry and Amanda- the happily newly married couple :)

I will see a Broadway show

I will go to museums, and the husband will be my private tour guide (surprisingly he knows alot of stuff about art, and of course history)

It's our 1 year anniversary

New York in 2 days!!!!

Justin and I are going to NY for the first time with each other this week.

it will be for our 1 year anniversary

Time flies....

359 days ago we tied the knot,

and promised each other forever...

we will be there for 4 full days...

Justin started in Medtronic this week.

So far, it has been a blessing, and almost dream-like.

Justin woke up super early Monday morning in an attempt to iron his shirts when the fire detector went off for a little bit... (probably very sensitive) until I woke up and tried to help him

I need to become better at ironing...

Whenever he takes breaks during the day, he pops in at my cube, and we walk around for a bit.

We had lunch together with his other also-just-hired coworkers.

Then we walk out together and drive home.

I feel super lucky to have Justin working in the same building as me.

I don't know if I will see him as much once he gets settled in, plus, CR doesn't work with his part of Regulatory, but just knowing that he is nearby is something I am so thankful for.

Tonight is the first night of many more that Horizon will be at our place. Hospitality has been something Justin and I have had alot of practice on especially this summer. We've had so many visitors staying and visiting our place, and my cousin from Taiwan who stayed with us for two months. There's always something new to learn. I am really excited to be hosting Horizon, and not need to walk/drive to Horizon every week. :D

Oh and the nice part about today and maybe the rest of this week and next week is that we get to get off work at 3 :) Justin's in training and his trainer gets to work at 6:30... so we match it. 6:30 is not so pretty but 3 is :D

Last week Justin received his offer letter from Medtronic.

BIG CONGRATULATIONS to the husband.

I can't wait til we start carpooling next MONDAY! and getting a nice reserved spot much closer to my department

this week is the last week I drive to work alone, or perhaps the last week I drive to work, period...? :D

I am really looking forward to this big change, but it's a good big change.

reflecting on the move to socal almost 3 years ago

I have been thinking about what has happened in the last few years....
and boy am I just surprised at all the changes that has happened

looking back.... since Justin and I moved to socal... 2 year and... 8 months ago
Medtronic is my first job and I feel honored to be working for a great company.
I went to Memphis, Denver, Seattle, San Diego, Santa Barbara and San Mateo for work and training
We got a house and renovated it (including building our entire kitchen one door at a time)
Justin and I went through pre-engagement counseling
We have had 6 housemates occupying our rooms
Justin and I got engaged (Justin's knight in shining armor)
Justin and I got married (not to mention his darth vader dance) with 100000000 people's help on making the wedding wonderful

quite crazy when i think about it....


i am so thankful for all the experiences, and Justin and I get to enjoy this ride together...
many many more years to look forward to
